PRIVACY POLICY

Expo International Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “The Company”) establishes the policy regarding the handling of personal information as follows in this document. The definition of terms in the text is based on the Law Concerning the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Law”) and related laws and regulations.

1.Compliance with related laws, guidelines, etc.

The Company will comply with the Personal Information Protection Law and other related laws and regulations, the guidelines, etc., as specified by the Personal Information Protection Committee and the privacy policy, and will handle personal information legitimately and properly.

2.Acquisition of Personal Information

The Company will acquire your personal information by lawful and appropriate means.

3.Purpose of Using Personal Information

The Company will use the customers’ personal information within the range of the following purpose of use or within the range of purpose of use which is clear from the acquisition situation and except in the case where the person consents or is permitted by law. The Company will not use this information for other purposes.

  • (1) To respond to customer inquiries
  • (2) In order to receive opinions or requests from customers
  • (3) To inform our customers of our services
  • (4) To participate in various bids or competitions
  • (5) To conclude or implement contracts
  • (6) To contact customers and conduct after-sales services
  • (7) For other incidental or related matters concerning our business

4.Outsourcing Personal Data

In order to facilitate business smoothly and to provide better service to our customers, The Company may delegate handling of the customer’s personal data to cooperating companies. However, personal data to be entrusted shall be limited to the minimum information necessary for carrying out the business to be entrusted.

5.Third Party Provision of Personal Data

The Company will not provide your personal data to third parties (except for outsourced parties) unless there is prior agreement by the customer or when it is permitted by law.

6.Management of Personal Data

(1) Ensure Accuracy of Data Contents
The Company will keep accurate and up-to-date content of customer’s personal data within the range necessary for achieving purpose of use, and we will strive to erase personal data when it is no longer necessary.
(2) Safety Management Measures
The Company will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of your personal data and other safety controls.
(3) Employee Supervision
When dealing with customer’s personal data with our employees, we will thoroughly inform and educate about the appropriate handling of personal information, and conduct necessary and appropriate supervision.
(4) Supervision of Contractors
When consigning the handling of customers’ personal data, The Company will select a cooperating company that also takes appropriate safety control measures for outsourcing parties, and conduct necessary and appropriate supervision for outsourcing parties.

7.Reception Concerning Owned Personal Data

(1) The Company will notify without the delay, except in the following cases, about the purpose of the retained personal data:
・ When the purpose of the use of the retained personal data is clear to the customer.
・ When there is a danger of harming the life, body, property or other rights and interests of the customer or a third party.
・ When there is a risk of harming The Company’s rights or legitimate interests.
・ In cases where it is necessary for a national agency or local public entity to cooperate in carrying out the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and there is a risk of interfering in the performance of said affairs.
(2) The Company will notify without delay, except in the following cases, if there is a request to disclose any personal data from the customer or customer’s agent:
・ When there is a danger of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the customer or third party.
・ When there is a serious risk of hindering the proper implementation of The Company’s business
・ In cases where the law is being violated
(3) In cases where corrections, additions, or deletions of retained personal data of the customer or its agent are necessary, The Company will act without delay and respond accordingly based on the result.
(4) In cases where the customer or its agent requests suspension of the use of personal data, or requests deletion of said data, The Company will respond appropriately.
(5) Should you have any questions or inquiries in regards to the above 4 points and their contents, please fill in The Company’s prescribed invoice, including the additional documents as stated in the invoice, and send it to the information as described in Section 8.0 below. Personal information provided by customers will be used for the purpose of responding to the customer’s request and will be strictly guarded. Please note that invoices or included attachments will not be returned.

8.About Amendments of the Privacy Policy

The Company may revise the contents of the Privacy Policy from time to time and change it as necessary. In these cases, the modified Privacy Policy will be applied from the date of publication of the revised version.
